Clay Abney was born and raised in Rome, Georgia and currently resides in Mobile, Alabama.  He is married to a wonderful and supportive wife, Jennifer.  Clay has been involved in adventure sports (including but not limited to mountain biking, white-water canoeing, rock climbing and snowboarding) for over 25 years.  He has combined his passion for these sports through adventure racing which he has been competing in since 2004.  His calendar of events for 2008 includes the Florida Coast to Coast Adventure Race and The Bull of Africa.

Clay recently launched Adventure World Magazine (http://adventureworldmagazine.com/) to serve as an outlet of information for the adventure sport community while filling the void for the industry.
